With my BS and SAF-accredited Masters of Forest Resources in Forest Management and experience, I am constantly looking for opportunities to expand my education and prepare for my professional career. I am a graduate from the University of Washington and currently a Forester for the Washington Department of Natural Resources full time and owner of my part time business HD Forestery.
I say “professional” because I worked steadily throughout college, gaining valuable experience that equips me with integrate knowledge and skills from technical disciplines with those from policy and management in ways suitable for professional leadership in the public, non-governmental, and private sectors.
My education, experience, and current jobs, I have gained strong skills of conducting, overseeing and taking part in right-of-way management, forest record cruises, surveys and countryside measurements following established scientific and operational procedures in both research and production forestry. I can also perform well in the preparation of forest management and harvest plans using mapping techniques in addition to GPS and computerized information systems. I can perform well in activities such as timber scaling, forest fire suppression, infection or bug control or pre-commercial thinning of forest stands.
